Kevin Lajoie Joins City
Kevin Lajoie has been appointed as the City of Cornwall’s new Public Information Co-ordinator effective May 24, 2011.
“We are delighted to welcome Kevin to this position,” said Mark Boileau, Manager of Economic Development. “We believe Kevin’s education and experience in the areas of journalism and communications are well-suited for this job.”
A native of Cornwall, Kevin graduated from Loyalist College in 2002 with a Print Journalism diploma before embarking on a journalism career with the Standard-Freeholder, where he covered a variety of subjects including Cornwall City Hall.
In May 2010, Kevin joined Heart of the City to work as the co-ordinator of a new three-year revitalization project called Centretown Cornwall.
About the Public Information Co-ordinator Position
The Public Information Co-ordinator helps deliver information on City programs and services to the
residents of Cornwall. Primary responsibilities include managing the information on the City website at
Cornwall.ca, organizing corporate advertising, and supporting other City departments in their
communications efforts.
