Peters Joins Economic Development
Bob Peters, one of the founding members of Team Cornwall,
has rejoined the Cornwall Economic Development Department as the new Senior Development Officer, effective
September 4th, 2007.
Mr. Peters brings considerable economic development experience from both the public and
private sectors, having served as Development Officer with the Department for over seven years
until 1997, when he became General Manager of WEBtech, a local web design and marketing
agency.
Mr. Peters has a B.A. (Honours), Geography degree from Carleton University, and attended the
Economic Development Program at the University of Waterloo. He is a Member and former
President of the Ontario East Economic Development Commission. He has been involved in
numerous local community efforts over the past several years, and was recognized for his
contributions in 2005 with the Chamber of Commerce ‘Citizen of the Year’ award.
“Mr. Peters brings a broad range of skills and experience to the Department, at a very exciting
and promising time for our community”, stated Mark Boileau, Economic Development Manager.
“I know that he is enthusiastic about the possibilities for Cornwall, and anxious to assist with our
ongoing economic development initiatives”.
