Team Cornwall presents its Annual Year-in-Review
Team Cornwall is holding a quarterly breakfast meeting on Thursday, December 14, 2006, at the Galaxy Cinemas on Second Street East. The meeting will feature a presentation by Mark Boileau of Cornwall Economic Development. Mr. Boileau will review the area’s economic activity over the past year.
10 Years Old… and Going Strong!
The meeting also represents the 10th Anniversary of Team Cornwall. A presentation will be made highlighting the achievements of the business ambassadorial group over the past decade. A number of special guests will be on hand, including Max Keeping from CJOH-TV and former Olympian Melanie Banville. Local musicians Greenwich Meantime will perform prior to the meeting, and are expected to be joined on stage by Graham Greer.
“Team Cornwall has grown to become an integral part of Cornwall’s external marketing efforts,” said Gilles Latour, Chair of Team Cornwall. “I expect that Mr. Boileau will be delivering a message that reaffirms the popular notion that our economy is in a state of transition. Now is the time for all members of our business community to come together and support our economic development efforts.”
Meet the New Mayor and Council
The Team Cornwall meeting will also give Team Members a chance network with business colleagues. Newly elected Mayor Bob Kilger and all 10 city councillors are also expected to attend. Team Members will also have a chance to meet the new Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce President and Board members.
“This meeting is always extremely popular, as the Year in Review report is eagerly anticipated”, added Mr. Latour. “Given the 10th Anniversary celebrations and special guests, we expect the demand for tickets to be higher than ever.”
The breakfast is open to all Team Cornwall members and to prospective members as well. Breakfast will be served beginning at 7am at the Galaxy Cinemas, followed by the regular meeting, which could contain some interesting surprises.

Tickets to the Team Cornwall quarterly breakfast are $10 each and can be purchased at the door the morning of the event. People are encouraged to reserve their spot ahead of time by calling the Cornwall and Seaway Valley Tourism office @ 613 938-4748.
Team Cornwall is a group of business people who have banded together to promote Cornwall to their business contacts around the world. Working closely with Cornwall Economic Development, the Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations, Team Cornwall members help spread the word about the considerable advantages of living and doing business in our hometown.
