Scott Armstrong Wins Award

Team member Scott Armstrong has been recognized with the Corus Entertainment Samurai Award. Scott is the General Manager of Corus Radio Cornwall, and he received his award recently at the Corus Entertainment Leadership Conference in Toronto.
The Corus Samurai Award acknowledges Corus employees for their exceptional contributions and their commitment to Corus’ core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Initiative, Innovation and Knowledge. Scott was nominated by his fellow workers.
At the awards ceremony, the following comments were made about Scott:
"Scott Armstrong is not just a team player, but a team leader who has focused on Teamwork and Accountability as General Manager in Cornwall. Scott makes sure every member of the Cornwall team knows that their contribution matters and encourages everyone to have input into the strategic plans for their three stations. This has not only driven positive results for the cluster, but for the community as well. The team’s 12-hour radio-thon for the Cornwall Community Hospital Capital campaign tripled its fundraising goal, and the Corus Radio Cornwall operation will soon lead the way in revitalizing the city’s waterfront when they move into the historic Cotton Mill."
